Tzatziki, cacık or tarator is a refreshing chilled sauce, dip or spread, originated from the mediterranean, made of Greek yogurt, cucumbers and fresh garlic.

Greek yoghurt

Japanese cucumber
peeled and grated
▢
½
lemon
freshly squeezed juice

tbsp
extra virgin olive oil

garlic
peeled and grated

Himalayan pink salt

black pepper
freshly crushed
Instructions
▢
Peel & remove the middle seed portion of cucumber. Grate cucumber and squeeze excess water out of the grated cucumber as much as possible.
▢
Peel and grate garlic.
▢
Assemble the ingredients by mixing Greek yoghurt, grated cucumber and garlic, pepper, salt, olive oil, freshly squeezed lemon juice.
▢
Mix well into a consistent mixture. Keep chilled in the refrigerator.

Greek yoghurt might not be available in all supermarkets so you can also make do with Greek styled yoghurt.
