Prepare the red agar agar by boiling 300ml water with 3g red agar agar powder, 30g Stevia sweetener over medium heat. Let it boil for a minute, then remove from the heat.Note: I used Swallow brand red agar agar powder. If you cannot find red coloured ones, you can use red food colouring and the clear (normal) agar agar powder. Follow the packaging instructions. For Swallow brand, 1g of agar agar to 100ml of water.
3 g red agar agar powder, 300 ml water, 30-100 g Stevia sweetener
Transfer the red agar agar mixture into a flat tray or bowl, making sure the height of the agar agar is about 5mm. Let it cool completely, then chill in the fridge to firm up.Reserve about 20% of the red agar agar mixture to decorate the bunny and bear moulds.
Once the red agar agar in the flat tray or bowl is set, use a heart shaped cutter to cut small heart shapes.
Mix 1 tsp of the red agar agar mixture with some dark chocolate powder (or edible charcoal powder). This black agar agar mixture will be used to dot the eyes and nose of the bunny and bear.
Pinch of dark chocolate powder
Decorate the eyes and nose of the bunny and bear with the black agar agar mixture.Decorate the ears and snouts of the bunny and bear with the red agar agar mixture.Note: I used a small spoon and chopstick.
Place the small heart shaped red agar agar on the belly of the bunny and bear.
Prepare the clear agar agar by boiling 500ml water with 6g clear agar agar powder, 50g Stevia sweetener over medium heat. Let it boil for a minute, then reduce the heat to the lowest and let it simmer.
6 g clear agar agar powder, 50-150 g Stevia sweetener, 500 ml water
Once the eyes, noses, ears and snouts of the bunny and bear has firmed up, add the clear agar agar mixture to the mould and fill up to halfway. Let it cool and firm up.
While the clear agar agar mixture is still simmering in the pot, add 50ml coconut milk, stir to mix well and let it simmer for 30 seconds. Remove from heat.
