I’m sure if you have tried apple chips and if you love it, this recipe is for you! Using an air fryer to make apple chips is so simple and easy. This is one of the easiest snacks you can make when you’re craving something crunchy but don’t want anything too heavy. All you really need are apples, sliced thin, and a bit of patience while they crisp up.

Only one ingredient is needed

Once the apples are cooked in the air fryer, the apples slowly dry out and turn into light, crispy chips with a natural sweetness. I didn’t add any sugar or oil. But if you like a little extra flavour, you can sprinkle on some cinnamon powder before cooking—but that’s completely optional. These apple chips are just as good on their own.

You can make these apple chips with any types of apples, though I found those Fuji apples to be the best for air fryer. I love how quick and low-effort the whole thing is. I can easily make a batch in less than 20 minutes, with barely any prep and almost no cleanup. And it’s also a good way to use up apples that have been sitting around a bit too long, which happens in my household very often.

How to store air fryer apple chips

As for storing them, honestly, these apple chips are so addictive, I never have leftovers but if you do need to store them, then keep them in air tight containers and consume within the next 3 days. Since you might not add any additives nor preservatives, these chips might go bad if you leave it there for too long. Hope you enjoy!
